Creatively I have 8 years experience in working as a graphic designer working in-house for creative companies but for the past couple of years I’ve been working freelance for myself in an office at the Northern Design Centre Gatesdhead. During my working day I will drink copious amounts of tea and talk to anyone who ends up in my path as I’m an extremely sociable person. Outside of the office I make and sell my own products which I have illustrated, designed and handmade myself. I made myself a little craft room at home where I make up orders for customers from around the world, in America alone I have sent an order to every US state which isn’t a bad record. Craft to me is still a hobby as I enjoy creating products people love enough to spend there hard earn money on, I like coming up with the concept and seeing it grow into something I’m proud of.

I also love to illustrate, I have always been an arty farty person and when I was studying design at college having an artist teach me really got me inspired. I relised doing design work I needed an outlet to where I can be creative on my own terms and express myself creatively and illustration for me was ideal. Working professionally in the design industry I get to illustrate for some amazing clients, but in my own time I’m a represented illustrator in Paris.

Me as an individual my Twitter name pretty much sums me up ‘Nerd that Draws’ plus if you saw me you couldn’t miss me! I wear rather bright coloured clothing and my most favorite pieces to wear are my plastic rain coats and wellies, and the weather doesn’t have to be bad for me to wear them either! I am also a proud mam to two Chinchillas! Yes Chincillas not Chihuahuas as most people get them mixed up. I have to boys Joey who is the oldest at 1 he’s grey and Junior who’s 6 months and white with gray patches.
